Burning Man 2012: A new adventure!
I recently did a Life’s Intentions activity to determine what is important to me at this point in my life. When I got to “An adventurer” I took a very long pause. I don’t really think of myself as an adventurous person so I was confused and struggling with my desire to give it a high importance.
That struggle was the knowledge that I’ve been feeling too comfortable in my life. The best decisions of my life were to do something outside of my experience and push my comfort zone. And I haven’t pushed myself for awhile. I need to do something new.
And so, when I found myself a few days later, in a group of people talking about going to Burning Man 2012, I knew what I had to do. When it was my turn to introduce myself I announced: “My name is Zach, and I want to go on an adventure!”
